Well, it's Mother's Day and I just realized that I haven't updated this blog in almost a year. Wow, did that year go by SUPER-fast! Let's see... what happened in that year???

Lexi turned ONE! Now she's 21 months but the terrible twos are already rearing their ugly faces. According to my mother, she throws "Ruthie fits". (i.e. stomping her feet, screaming and throwing herself down on the floor. )

Mia turned FOUR! She started preschool last September and LOVES it! She attends on Tuesday and Thursday mornings but wakes up every morning asking if she's going to school. She has dance class every Monday evening and is doing great! Her very first dance recital is June 6.

I went back to work in August, which explains why I haven't updated this blog! I forgot how little time I have for other things when I work full-time. I began working at Labette Bank as a Teller Supervisor but recently switched to a graphic designer at Quality Printing... and I LOVE it!

Brandon has been attending class for his EMT-B Certificate. He just recently passed his boards! He is still the 3rd shift supervisor at Ducommun but we're hoping he'll be able to get a 1st shift position soon.

Mia just finished 3 weeks of dance class where she learned some basic ballet, tap and tumbling moves. She LOVED it and I'm excited to take her to the next session starting in August!

Same ol'. Same ol'.

Well, not much has changed since my last post. We're still working on the estimate for our add-on. As soon as we get it done, we'll turn it into the bank and start the loan process (which could take several weeks).
I'm looking forward to the rest of the month... we have a lot going on but it's all leading to better things for us. I'm taking the month off from photography to 'revamp' the style and look of Roxie Howard Photography. Hopefully we will be able to at least start the add-on before the month is over. And between a wedding, a graduation, some birthday parties and holidays, our weekends are full!
I will post again soon... hopefully something a little more exciting. ;-)

An update...

Two days in a row... so far so good, huh?!

Well, Lexi is nearly 9 months old now. She is saying 'Papa' and 'Dada' but no 'momma' yet. :-( She is going to walk before she crawls. She loves being outside and she loves watching her big sister! Mia is 3 1/2 years and sassier than ever! She loves to sing and dance and show off. She says she's a princess and calls me 'her majesty'! It's cute. She's silly.

Cousin Mercie visited a couple weekends ago so Aunt Roxie took pictures of her with the girls. She looks a lot like her daddy but obviously has 'Moore' in her as you'll notice in her eyes...

Brandon and I are planning our 700 square foot add-on of a master suite and an office/laundry room. There is so much that goes into doing a 'construction' loan: estimates, appraisals, etc. We're hoping to get it done before the fire department starts building their new building in July but we're not sure that's going to happen. I will try to update as we go with pictures so that everyone can experience the crazy summer with us!
